PRESS RELEASE
As per the direction of Ladakh Legal Services Authority, the District
Legal Services Authority Kargil organized 1at National Lok Adalat today on 11th February 2023 in which three benches were constituted for different kinds of cases pending in the Courts like criminal Compoundable matters, cases u/s 138 NI Act. MACT cases, Bank recovery cases, Matrimonial disputes and other civil cases etc. The first bench was presided over by Mrs. Phuntsog Angmo Secretary DLSA/Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, the second bench was presided over by Ld. Munsiff/ JMIC Sankoo and third bench was presided Over by Assistant Commission Revenue Kargil Mr. Abdul Gaffar Zargar. Despite heavy snowfall in the Kargil region since the last two days and non-availability of transport facilities huge number of people participated in the National Lok Adalat. A total number of 114 cases were referred to the National Lok Adalat out of the same total umber u 100 cases were disposed off. Settlement amount was Rs 100000/-and fine of Rs. 31150/ was imposed.
